I’ve been wondering about the giant thing from day 1 and the resulting mental images weren’t fun; but disturbing/creepy/pervy innuendos & implications are ever-present in myths, legends & fairy tales. J.K. has done her homework, which makes her books more fun to read. I esp. liked the ‘scarlet woman’ reference in GOF.

And for the record, I didn’t think I could have such flaming hatred for a fictional character before Umbridge came along so I have no pity for her, in fact it annoyed me that she didn’t vanish forever.
